Lauren Reid

Communications Team Lead

Lauren partners with FAR.AI's leadership to build and lead the organization's communications, overseeing strategy, brand, and a growing comms team. She joins FAR.AI most recently from the Centre for Effective Altruism, where she was Chief of Staff of the Events team.

Prior to that, Lauren spent over five years as Head of Operations and Projects for the Clean Cities Campaign at Transport & Environment, where she led cross-country operations and stakeholder coordination across Europe, including the pan-European Streets for Kids campaign. The campaign worked with schools and local governments to reduce traffic and improve safety around schools, ultimately helping deliver over 3,000 events and permanently transform 300 school streets across the UK and Europe.

Earlier in her career, Lauren worked at Greenpeace Belgium as International Communications Lead and Deputy Project Lead for the Clean Air Now campaign, and spent several years at Greenpeace USA as a web producer supporting campaigns on pipelines, anti-SLAPP protections, and environmental justice. She has also spent several months at sea aboard the Arctic Sunrise and Rainbow Warrior, contributing to international advocacy efforts on overfishing and microplastics.

Lauren holds an MSc in Environment and International Development from King's College London, where her research focused on how nationalism shapes environmental impacts within rural communities in the United States.
