Karolina Walęcik partners with FAR.AI’s co-founders to advance the organization's priorities and manages the Executive Office. Previously, as Head of Business Operations, she built and led the BizOps function, and oversaw grant making operations, grants compliance, risk management, and knowledge and organizational learning systems.
Before FAR.AI, she was Global Head of Social Impact Operations & Grantmaking at BlackRock, where she established and managed the group's operating and governance infrastructure, grantmaking strategy and co-led the deployment of a $50M COVID-19 relief initiative. Her earlier experience includes policy advocacy and program design at the Open Society Foundations. She holds a Master of Public Administration from Columbia University, focused on global governance and sustainable development, and a Master's in English Studies from The Catholic University of Lublin, where her thesis explored AI's role in society.
