Rick is a Research Project Manager at FAR.AI. He specializes in supporting the deception pod, as well as organization-wide initiatives such as recruiting and grantmaking. He previously worked at AI Impacts, where he led the organization and investigated AI forecasting , technological progress, and surveys of AI experts.

Rick has a PhD from the University of Texas at Austin, where he focused on experimental plasma physics and nonlinear optics.
